Appointments & Cancellations

A person’s time is one of the most valuable personal commodities today, and at JR Beauty Studio, we deeply respect the time of our clients, stylists, and technicians. In order to maintain a smooth and efficient operation, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations. You may cancel or reschedule by calling or texting us at (908) 451-9670 or by using the link provided in the 48-hour reminder text notification.

We understand that life can sometimes become unpredictable, and our system provides two reminder notifications: a 72-hour and a 24-hour reminder of your upcoming appointment. Should you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your needs promptly.

To secure your appointment, JR Beauty Studio requires a 50% deposit for certain services and high-demand time slots. Please note, cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, will incur the loss of the client’s deposit. No-shows and same day cancellations, to include last minute Rescheduling can result in a 100% charge for the schedule service. This policy is in place because last-minute cancellations or no-shows prevent the Salon from offering critical time slots for our high demand services to other clients, resulting in lost opportunities for both our staff and clients.

We understand that significant life events can sometimes lead to unforeseen changes in your schedule. In these situations, we will make every effort to work with you to reschedule your services and hold the rights to waiver this policy on a case by case basis. However, our 48-hour cancellation policy is a zero-tolerance policy, and adherence to this policy ensures that we can continue offering the best service to all of our clients.

As residents of the Northeast, we are sometimes subject to severe weather conditions that can impact travel and business operations. In the event of a state or federal weather declaration requiring recommended closures of businesses, streets, or highways, JR Beauty Studio will work closely with each client to reschedule their appointments at no cost. These occurrences are exempt from the 48-hour cancellation policy, and we will do our best to accommodate you during these challenging circumstances. Your safety and convenience are our top priorities.

Late Arrivals: At JR Beauty Studio, we understand that daily schedules, inclement weather, and traffic congestion in the Northern New Jersey/NYC area can sometimes cause delays. If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, please contact the salon, and we will do our best to adjust your services within the remaining time. Depending on the nature of the services booked, clients arriving more than 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment time may be asked to reschedule and could result in a loss of their deposit. We maintain high professional standards, and late arrivals can significantly disrupt both the stylist’s schedule, follow-on client’s appointments, and the quality of the service we provide.

As a professional reminder, JR Beauty Studio’s primarily focus is on personal scheduled appointments through our salon appointment portal or by phone. While we do accommodate walk-ins when time is available, please note that these opportunities are limited and subject to the availability of our stylists and technicians. To ensure the best possible service, we recommend scheduling your appointment in advance and arriving on time.

Payments: JR Beauty Studio accepts various forms of payment, including cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and debit cards. We also offer a personal checking system for payments by personal check, which operates similarly to using a debit card. Please note that credit card payments are subject to a processing fee by the banking system, which does not apply to cash transactions. Retail product purchases are subject to New Jersey state sales tax as required by law.

Children: JR Beauty Studio  provides services for children under the care of their legal guardians or parents. However, due to the nature of our work, which involves chemicals, sharp tools, and various equipment, our salon is not a child-friendly environment. For the safety of all guests, children under the age of 12 who are not receiving services are not permitted in the salon.

Pets in the Salon: While JR Beauty Studio loves animals and advocates for the rights of pet owners, we must prioritize a safe and clean environment for all our clients. For this reason, only registered service animals are permitted in the salon during business hours. We appreciate your understanding.

Client Satisfaction: JR Beauty Studio prides itself on a brand recognition of superior service using the best industry products. A client’s satisfaction is very important to use. If you have any questions or concerns about a service you are receiving or have received, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Salon manager or owners directly. \

Refunds: At JR Beauty Studio, we take great pride in our commitment to delivering superior services using the highest quality industry products. Client satisfaction is incredibly important to us. While refunds are not part of our standard operating procedures, we are dedicated to addressing any concerns on a case-by-case basis. If it is determined that a stylist or technician did not meet the expected standards of service, we will take immediate steps to correct the service to the level of quality for which JR Beauty Studio is known. If you have any concerns or questions about the service you are receiving or have received, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to the salon manager or owners.

Additionally, requests for haircut and hair colour adjustments must be made within 7 days of the original appointment; Most corrective color processes require multiple visits, because of this, color adjustments do not apply to corrective color appointments. Model services are not eligible for future adjustments. Purchases on all retail sales are final unless it has been determined there is a error by the manufacturer. All Sales are final and are not available for later adjustments.

Gift Cards: Gift cards are available for purchase at JR Beauty Studio and make for great gift ideas for friends, family, or even yourself. Please note that gift cards are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be returned. Additionally, during certain times of the year, in collaboration with the Springfield Township Council, we offer promotional deals on gift cards. Be sure to check with us for special offers!

Smoking: JR Beauty Studio is a non-smoking establishment. Any evidence of smoking by employees off-premises must be undetectable upon re-entering the workplace. All employees are required to wash their hands after smoking. Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises in compliance with state regulations. This policy applies to all employees, customers, and visitors.

Refusal to Pay or Attempted Theft of Services:
At JR Beauty Studio, we expect all clients to honor their financial obligations for the services rendered. Refusal to pay or any attempts to evade payment are taken seriously and may result in legal action. In the rare event that a client refuses to pay for services or attempts to steal services, JR Beauty Studio reserves the right to take appropriate legal action, including but not limited to reporting the incident to law enforcement. We value and respect our clients and aim to maintain a positive and professional environment; however, any attempts to violate our policies will not be tolerated.
